I chose a career in counseling after experiencing the transformative power of therapy in my own life. I understand how intimidating and uncomfortable it can feel to ask for help, especially at our lowest moments. On the other side of this discomfort, however, is the opportunity to live a healthier, more connected, more authentic life. I’m here to create a compassionate and non-judgemental space in between.

I specialize in working with adults, with a specific focus on OCD and anxiety. I am also passionate about working with young adults navigating the confusing, often tumultuous transition to adulthood and working life. I integrate Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Ultimately, however, it is the client – not the approach – that dictates the course of therapy; I want my clients to feel like equal partners in the therapeutic process and encourage their feedback and input throughout. My goal is to help clients to begin to view themselves as separate from intrusive or self-limiting thoughts and to tune into their natural intuition. I seek to turn clients’ attention to the strengths they are already using, and I hope to help them find coherence while at the same time embracing life’s uncertain, nonlinear nature. I also appreciate the healing power of humor in therapy; sometimes, it just really helps to laugh! In addition to one-on-one counseling, I love leading group therapy and believe it offers a unique and powerful experience for participants, most importantly serving as a reminder that we are never alone in our problems.

I completed my clinical internship in the inpatient psychiatric unit at Emory University Hospital, where I provided individual and group counseling for patients experiencing mental health crises. I also co-led grief and trauma focused groups in Kigali, Rwanda to support genocide survivors using a story-based, culturally sensitive approach. I received my Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Mercer University in Atlanta and am currently working toward full licensure in the state of Georgia. Before that, I graduated with a Bachelor’s in Film and Television from Boston University.

In my free time, you’ll find me hiking, baking, or spending quality time with my fiancé Nick and rescue pup Sydney. I also like to flex my right-brained muscles through piano and singing.
