Bio

You're probably feeling stuck right now - hoping that therapy may help, but also a little uncertain about the whole process. Maybe you've tried therapy before without much luck or you've been struggling for a long time on your own. I'm here to get you UNSTUCK and moving towards your deepest values, towards that life worth living. Let me help you become the hero of your own story of recovery.

Traditional talk therapy or supportive counseling may not be enough, so I bring a unique set of advanced therapeutic techniques to the treatment process as a Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist, Certified Multiple Addiction Therapist, and Certified Sex Addiction Therapist (CSAT) with training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Schema Therapy, Exposure and Response Prevention Therapy, DBT, and Mindfulness. Whether you're struggling with crippling anxiety, chronic depression, rigid OCD, lingering trauma, or persistent addictions, rapid improvement and deep change are possible. Hypnotherapy, Schema Therapy, and ACT combine together to address difficult issues such a pain management, peak performance enhancement, and chronic relationship difficulties.

My clients are more than a diagnosis. In fact, I love working with issues that don't fit into a typical "diagnostic label." I can help you identify your core life values, achieve goals that matter to you, and experience deeper meaning, satisfaction, and joy in life. Also spirituality and personal faith is very important in my life. I am experienced in providing biblically oriented Christian counseling and am quite comfortable incorporating an individual client's own spiritual/faith beliefs and practices (whatever they happen to be) into our work together.

When not providing therapy or reading about it, I love to spend time with my wife and our pets, read about other areas of interest, and spend time outdoors. I'm always looking for the next adventure or challenge - backpacking, traveling overseas, running obstacles course races... you name it.
