Taneesha Hargrove, LCSW
Specializing in anxiety, depression, self harming behaviors, family discord, and grief and loss
In life we all experience a variety of difficulties and challenges, it makes us human. However, I believe that having tools to help manage those challenges can contribute to a positive life experience. My passion for therapy has always been derived from having the opportunity to equip my clients with tangible resources and tools to create the life that they desire. True freedom, healing and growth have the opportunity to enter your experience even when you don’t have it all together. So, what better place to begin developing your toolbox than the present moment? My goal as your therapist is to help you get to the life you want, by meeting you where you are.
I received my Bachelor’s in psychology from Georgia Southern University and my Master’s in Social Work from Kennesaw State University. I have worked with children, adolescents, young adults, parents and families in a variety of settings including psychiatric residential treatment, camps, child advocacy centers, private practice, after school programs, and in-home. I specialize in working with individuals who have difficulty managing unwanted emotions by utilizing Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) to educate my clients on skills that will improve their life and process difficulties
When I’m not being a therapist, I enjoy spending time with my family, taking walks outside, playing with my dogs, crafting, watching sports, and binge watching TV shows. I also love traveling to the beach and consider myself a major foodie!
Wherever you find yourself in this moment is the canvas on which YOU can create. Let me help you live your best life!
